Dikasuna Nature Conservation Inc. has achieved a major milestone in its Project Green Lungs initiative, reaching 10,000 poly bags filled with native plants, trees, and shrubs.

Of the total, 5,000 bags have already been planted with Dame-Moge, a native tree species, while the remaining 5,000 will soon be filled with Emmey n Awkola, currently flourishing in seed beds.

“We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve hit our target of 10,000 nurseries filled with native plants, trees, and shrubs,” MR. KAUPA said.

The organisation praised the hard work of its members.

“A massive thank you to our incredible team for their relentless effort in filling 10,000 poly bags. We bow in gratitude for your hard work and dedication,” MR. KAUPA said.

The milestone is seen as both an environmental achievement and a cultural responsibility.

“There’s immense joy and fulfillment in this journey of protecting and conserving our natural resources. We are only great when we take pride in our heritage of land and natural environment,” MR. KAUPA said.

The plants will be used for reforestation and conservation activities across Simbu Province, supporting biodiversity and climate resilience for future generations.
