DNC Launches Coffee Scrubs
By-Line: Abagain MARA
Dikasuna Nature Conservation Inc. has announced the release of its own coffee scrubs and exfoliating scrubs, produced from coffee grown inside Dikasuna. The products will be available in stores soon.
The initiative combines local agriculture with enterprise, creating a new source of income to sustain conservation and community programmes.
“Our coffee scrubs will be a way for Dikasuna to make money to fund other projects,” Creative Director Guipe Kaupa said.
The coffee scrub venture highlights the group’s focus on sustainable livelihoods, linking environmental conservation with community-based enterprise.
By transforming locally grown coffee into a natural skincare product, DNC is adding value to agriculture while exploring innovative ways to raise funds.
Coffee is one of Papua New Guinea’s major cash crops, supporting thousands of rural households. DNC’s initiative shows how communities can extend the value of coffee beyond export markets.
Proceeds will be reinvested into its reforestation, conservation, and climate resilience projects across Simbu Province.
