Dikasuna Nature Conservation Inc. (DNC) has received a major boost to its sustainable housing project through the generous donation of building materials from Mr. David Kaupa, one of the organisation’s most dedicated private supporters.
Mr. Kaupa’s personal contribution has allowed construction work on the 12 sustainable model houses to restart after earlier challenges with limited funding and material shortages.
David Kaupa is one of DNC’s biggest donors, contributing entirely from his own funds, his donation of materials has given the project new life, and construction is now fully underway.”
The housing project, launched by DNC earlier this year, aims to provide affordable and eco-friendly accommodation for local families and volunteers working in conservation projects across Simbu Province.
Philip Kaupa’s generosity reflects a strong spirit of local ownership and community-driven development within DNC’s work.
“Support like this inspires us to keep moving forward,” Creative Director, Guipe Kaupa said. “It shows how individuals can make a real difference in building a sustainable future.”
Across Papua New Guinea, public-private partnerships and local donations are becoming crucial to advancing conservation and community development where external funding is limited. DNC’s model demonstrates how citizen action can sustain lasting environmental impact.
